Inako ni DILG Undersecretary Rico Puno ang responsibilidad sa palpak na pagresponde ng PNP sa hostage crisis sa Maynila. Tahasan din niyang inamin na wala siyang kahandaan para humawak ng hostage situation. Nagpaliwanag naman si PNP Chief Jesus Versoza kung bakit hindi agad ipinatumba sa mga sniper ang hostage-taker.
